Today marked a significant milestone in my academic journey as it was the first time I was trusted with the responsibility of grading assignments. With one assignment to evaluate for each of my classes, the workload was manageable yet challenging. The first task at hand was to grade 375 worksheets, each worth 50 points, followed by assessing 370 resumes, which were worth 100 points. My primary objective was to ensure a prompt grading process so that students wouldn't have to wait too long for their grades.

Grading the worksheets proved to be relatively straightforward. As I carefully read through the answers, I looked for evidence of each student's effort and made sure the difficulty level was balanced, neither overwhelming nor excessively easy. This was an opportunity for me to demonstrate my grading skills to Dr. Tiell, and I aimed to provide fair assessments. Since the majority of the students met the requirements and performed well, the need for extensive comments was minimal.

On the other hand, grading the resumes presented a more intricate task. I had to meticulously examine each document, ensuring that the students included all the necessary details, employed appropriate language, and the correct formatting. If any requirements were not met, I took the time to provide constructive feedback, highlighting areas of improvement. This feedback would serve as guidance for students to enhance their resumes, especially if they were given the opportunity to resubmit them at the end of the course.

Overall, this experience allowed me to gain insights into the grading process and honed my skills in assessing students' work. It reinforced the importance of fairness, attention to detail, and providing valuable feedback for their future growth.
