Although today was not a scheduled class day, I dedicated my time to grading the Playbook assignments of the 370 course. This particular grading task required careful attention and a thorough evaluation of the students' work. The assignment encompassed the first two sections of the playbook, which, although not extensive in length, required students to complete various required sections.
Ensuring that students fulfilled all the necessary components of the assignment was of utmost importance. I meticulously assessed each submission, verifying that all sections were adequately addressed. Moreover, I placed significant emphasis on evaluating the effort and thoughtfulness reflected in the students' responses. This assignment demanded a more discerning approach to grading, as I aimed to provide constructive feedback that would facilitate the students' learning and growth.
Dr. Tiell had previously acknowledged my performance in grading earlier assignments, indicating that I had done a commendable job. However, she also encouraged me to elevate my grading standards and challenge the students further. Taking her advice to heart, I embraced the opportunity to evaluate the Playbook assignments with a more stringent lens, ensuring that the students' work met higher expectations.
While grading these assignments required time and attention to detail, I viewed it as a crucial aspect of my role as an assistant. By assessing the students' progress and providing thoughtful feedback, I aimed to guide their development and inspire them to continually improve. Grading, in this context, served as a valuable tool for promoting academic growth and encouraging students to strive for excellence.
